Now when you do a job match, we'll provide you with a summary list of the candidates who matched your profile, sorted by where they live. Justclick and go! 

Want to see only recently entered work seeker profiles? No problem! Our new Date Search option lets you decide just how far back you want to search. That is, you can search all profiles in our database or you may choose to only search through those profiles entered or updated within the last 24 or 48 hours, or in the last week or month.  The choice is yours. 

We've improved our geographical search.  Work seekers will tell us where they are willing to work by selecting from a list of local areas within each province.  This means that when you perform a job match, we will search our database and match only those candidates who have told us that they would be willing to work in the area in which your job is located.  To make sure that this function works accurately, we need your help.  If you currently have a profile, please take a moment to update your job location using the ADVERTISE option button on the EMPLOYER OPTIONS screen.  We've added a picklist of cities and towns by province to make it easy. 

We found that so many of our clients are multi-skilled that we thought it important you to be able to see all their related skills.  So....work seekers will now be able to "link" their profiles together.  This means whenyou receive matches for your job opening, if the work seeker has chosen the "link" option, you will be given the opportunity to view their otherrelated profiles.  For example, a plumber may have a carpenter profile.  We hope that this will be a valuable addition. 
 
Your saved job profile will stay in our account for one year. So if you find the need to staff again, come on back! Your profile will still be here. What a memory!!! 

We've added a date to the top of the work seeker's profile, so you'll know when it was created or last updated. 

Want to advertise your position for only a couple of days? A couple of months? No problem! The choice is yours!! 

We've made more room! Our new "Other Job Related/Company Information" section lets you give work seekers more information about you and your business, including your URL.

Work seekers 

We've significantly improved our geographical search!  If you are willing to work anywhere, great, we will advertise your skills to employers not only in Canada but around the world.  On the other hand, if you are interested in employment only in your own community, that's great too - we can accommodate that and anything in between.   To make sure that this function works accurately, we need your help.  If you currently have a profile, please take a moment to retrieve each of your skill profiles from the Work Seeker Options screen and update the information on where you are willing to work using the ADVERTISE option button.  We've added a picklist of commuting areas by province to make it easy.  Thanks for your help. 

We found that so many of you are multi-skilled that we thought it important for you to be able to show employers all your related skills.  So....you will now be able to "link" your profiles together.   This means that when an employer matches to one of your profiles, if you have chosen to"link" it to one or more of your other skill profiles in your account, employers will be given the opportunity to view all of them when they match to one.  For example, if you have completed a profile as a plumber and one as a carpenter, you may wish to "link" them together.  We hope that this will be a valuable addition. 

We've added a date to the top of each job profiles, so you'll know exactly when this job was advertised. 

After you have advertised your skills in the Electronic Labour Exchange, you may want to visit HRDC's National Job Bank. If you want to see just job listings, this is the place to go! It's an excellent site and easy to get to, since we've created a hot link to it! And for those of you who have always wanted to work for the government, we've also added a link to job listings published by the Public Service Commission of Canada.
